Master Cleanser - Transition Day

"Transition Day" was supposed to be today (or rather, since I'm writing on 7/3 at 1:20 am, yesterday).  I was supposed to ease my digestive system back into the swing of things by consuming only orange juice and vegetable soup, but I had already broken the fast with the incredibly similar substances of wine and pizza last night, so I decided to screw the transition since my stomach held up pretty well.

I did bring some OJ to work and sipped it along with water, but in terms of eating, I snacked on various things.  For lunch I did have some vegetable udon, which was yummy.

I also had a hedonistic night of sorts, indulging in decadent foods and wine with James as a celebration of sorts.  I found a fantastic, brilliant recipe for "instant ice cream" which uses only 2 ingredients - frommage fraiche and frozen mixed berries - blended together.  I have to say it is mind-blowingly delicious.  I believe it will become my staple dessert and replace real ice cream in my freezer for sure.

I weighed myself after eating for hours, and at 127, I'm almost back at my starting weight of 128.2.  It proves that the weight I lost was mostly internal and water weight.

I'm looking forward to a half day of work tomorrow, and then heading out to the beach for a welcome long 4th of July weekend.  I don't think I genuinely enjoy this city as much as I seem to have convinced myself I do, as every escape, no matter how brief, is an overwhelmingly welcome respite.
